I have used the Epila laser hair removal system for about 6 months now. Basically the laser will not penetrate the skin enough to reach most of my folicles But it is strong enough to burn the hair just under the skin which results in pain and scabbing but after a short period of time the scab comes off to reveal that the hair is still there. I am fair skinned and used this only on dark hair (which is what the product is said to work best on). I have only had a couple of successful hairs removed and that actually produced a very deep hole in my skin which did result in a scar. Luckily I did not use this on my face and can only imagine someone using this to remove facial hair and ending up disfigured. This item is a terrific idea, but is NOT effective. needs to go back to the drawing board. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

I just received my Epila. It also comes with an ice bag. So far, the User’s Manual is written in broken English, but you can go through it. Second, I tried the laser on a black sheet of paper, as mentioned in the manual, before I tried anything on my own hairs. The zaps created some slight smoke, which indicated the machine works. I tried it on a few hairs. One light hair got affected and I easily pulled it out without tweezers. One dark hair got burned. And the other two dark hairs did not get affected. Maybe that is because I used it on the lowest power. This was just a trial, so I did not use it on hairs that I really want to get rid of YET! I will update later when I use it and get effects!
UP DATE: DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK! I have it there and it is just taking up space in my drawer. I wish I did not buy this thing. It only burned some hairs but non of them actually fell off or got removed. I wasted my 200$ on a worthless machine. I wish I had bought a supply of Venus instead. If I could change the stars I put before I would give it a big FAT ZERO Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

This item DOES NOT WORK. Plain and simple. I bought this item thinking it was just as effective as going to the hair removal clinic but I was dead wrong. I used this item for nearly a year. It left my chin disfigured and all the hairs kept coming back. I strongly urge every woman on earth to NOT buy this item or any like it. Electrolysis is the ONLY way ladies. The home electrolysis works too. I’ve been using the home electrolysis for about a little more than a week and the hairs that I got with it are gone. I usually have to tweeze the hair on my chin every morning and sometimes more than once a day. But thanks to the electrolysis I rarely have to grab a tweezer when I wake up in the morning. Please I’m begging you DON’T BUY THIS. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

For those out there that are tired of shaving. This product is definitely for you. Without a doubt.
At first, I didn’t know if the product was working properly. It seemed like it would indicate a heat exchange one moment, then not the next.
Then I found out that if you plug it into a surge protector. It functions like it should. Great!
My darker hairs are now light, light, light. And, I really don’t have to shave, but, maybe once every 3 days (I’ve only used it off and on for 2 weeks now).
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who does not enjoy shaving.
By the way…the only pain you feel, is a tingling snap. That’s it…
But, remember if you buy it. Use a surge protector. Otherwise, for some reason, it will intermittently produce the heat that it needs to remove the hairs. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

I’ve tried and tested many hair removal products and this Epila is by far the best I’ve ever found. To fair, it does take time to zap hairs one by one but what do you expect for a home hand-held unit? It is best if you have an "assistant" but you can do it yourself. Very high tech and well worth the money but don’t buy it thinking it’s magic and going to do the work for you.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 9. Very well made product. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews
